MAYBANK - An Evening With Maybank's Top Management

CFP News Update (17th November 2016; 7.00 p.m.): For the first time ever, University of Malaya is so honored to have five top management members of Maybank in an event organised by The Faculty of Economics & Administration, UM. The idea to have An Evening With Maybank’s Top Management came from Maybank’s very own President and CEO of Maybank Group, YBhg. Datuk Abdul Farid Alias. He was joined by Datuk Lim Hong Tat, Group Head Community Financial Services & CEO of Maybank Singapore, Dato’ Mohamed Rafique Merican, Group Head Islamic Banking & CEO of Maybank Islamic Berhad, En Mohd Suhail Amar Suresh, Group Chief Technology Officer and Puan Nora Abd Manaf, Group Chief Human Capital Officer who is also the appointed CEO@Faculty Programme for University Utara Malaysia (UUM). It is indeed considered as a historical moment and a very rare occasion for the Faculty and University to be having the top management line up of a prominent bank in the country in one session.

The session starts with short discussion over dinner with several management members of the University including the Vice Chancellor, Tan Sri Professor Dr. Mohd Amin Jalaludin  followed by the talk held at Lecture Hall III, Faculty of Economic and Administration. Throughout the session, many topics are covered such as leadership, Islamic banking, human capital management, community financial services and technological innovations. 

The session that lasted for more than two hours in front of a full-house hall, received positive feedbacks from the audiences with several questions answered accurately by the top management with some tips and meaningful take home advises. The audiences that comprises of undergraduate and postgraduate students and also University’s staff expresses their gratefulness to be having the opportunity being in the same hall with the two prominent leaders that candidly sharing their priceless experiences and thoughts on leadership.
